COIMBATORE: A two-day pre-action plan meeting began at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) here on Tuesday to finalise the Action plan for Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVK).
Around 85 scientists from 30 KVKs of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are participating and discussing the needs, problems and solutions through technological interventions in the meeting.
The action plan KVKs for the year 2018-19 will be finalised during the meeting, a TNAU release said.
The Director of ICAR-ATARI (Agricultural Technology Application Research Institute) Hyderabad, Dr. Y.G. Prasad, spoke on the strategy for KVKs and importance of implementing mandate of KVKs and special programmes. TNAU Director of Extension Education Dr H Philip stressed the importance of developing need programmes for the benefit of farmers.
