The Coimbatore City Police, under the guidance of the Commissioner of Police A Amalraj, has partnered with the Best Advertisers’ G. Ashraf from Coimbatore to set up surveillance camera in two important locations in the city.

The cameras have been fixed at Coimbatore Avinashi Road, for improving public safety and also for the convenience of police. The locations identified initially are the stretch of Coimbatore Airport Road to PSG College of Arts and Science, and another stretch of Hope College Junction.

Around 12 cameras of 3 megapixel range have been installed at important intersections and passageways to identify the traffic entering and exiting the city. Now that the cameras have started functioning, the Coimbatore city police can have a complete recording and surveillance of these two important stretches.

The setup cost around Rs.40 lakhs and the entire investment has been sponsored by Best Advertisers.
