Covai Post Network

Two men were caught red-handed when they were trying to steal silk saris from a textiles firm.

S. Arun Francis (24) from Puliyakulam, and K. Srinivasan of Erode entered a private textile firm posing as customers. They had reportedly shoplifted 55 silk saris worth Rs.2 lakhs and were ready to leave. But their bid was foiled when the employees of the shop caught them stealing the saris.

The culprits were later handed over to the Peelamedu police and a case was registered.
