Coimbatore: An undertrial, lodged in the Coimbatore Central Jail, died of massive heart attack today.
Murugesan (48), hailing from Udumalpet in Tirupur district, was arrested on charges of abduction a month ago, was lodged in the jail. He suddenly developed chest pain around 2.30 AM today. After first aid by the jail staff, he was taken and admitted to the Coimbatore Government Hospital.
But, Murugesan, who had undergone heart surgery three years ago, died after a while, police said.
