The Coimbatore division of the Forest Department has announced a series of competitions, including painting and oratory contests, and quizzes, as part of the Wildlife Week, which will be celebrated in the first week of October. The competition is open for all students, from LKG to college level.

Winners of the competitions will participate in state-level competitions to be held soon.

Contests will be held on the following topics

‘Forest and Wildlife’ – quiz competitions for students of Classes IX to XII, and college students

‘Wildlife and Natural Scenery’ – for painting contests

‘Long live forests’ – topic for oratory contests for students of Classes IX to XII

‘Contribution of student community in conserving forests’ – topic for oratory contests for college students
