Youth gets 5 yr RI for raping 4-year old

The Mahila Court sentenced a 21-year old youth five years Rigorour Imprisonment, on charges of sexually abusing a four year old girl in the rural limits, some three years ago.
The prosecution case was that the youth C Aravind alias Aravindasamy from Karamadai, some 35 Kms from here, was working as a cleaner of a school van.
He took a four-year old, studying kindergarten in the van on December 24, 2013 to his house and sexually assaulted,in the pretext of taking photograph to raise a flex board for an actor.
As the girl narrated the incident to the mother, she along with the neighboiurs thrashed Aravind, necessitating hospitalisation.
An All Women Police Station in Thudiyalur registered the case against him under section 3 (a), 4 and 5 (m) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences
Act and lodged him at the borstal home in Pollachi, since he was below 18 then.
The Mahila Court Judge G Raja awarded five years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 5,000 on him.
