Drunken Monkey, one of India’s biggest smoothie chain Founded by Mr. Samrat Reddy, has recently launched new outlets in Navi Mumbai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, and Rajahmundry in February. Headquartered in Hyderabad, the smoothie chain has grown exponentially with consistent success as it began from four smoothie bars in Hyderabad in its first year, to 64 outlets over 19 Indian cities in 2019. It has plans to launch future outlets in India and overseas, and to introduce smoothies with a higher shelf life to the supermarkets of India. The brand is not only on an expansion spree but is also foraying into CSR activities since the beginning of 2019. Drunken Monkey is not only trying to create a better, healthier tomorrow, but it is now giving back to others through a series of CSR events. It already has a number of them under its belt this year, with a promise for more to come.
Aiming to give back to society, Drunken Monkey team had spent time with homeless children at Thara, a home for children and also had smoothies with them. It also celebrated Valentine’s Day amidst children, at a government school and offered goodie bags full of necessities. In February, Drunken Monkey invited orphaned children to their corporate office in Hyderabad, where they participated in fun games and cultural activities, and enjoyed smoothies and sandwiches. Each child was gifted notebooks, badges, pens, and caps at the end of the event.
Through each of these events, Drunken Monkey wants to bring to all generations the fun, joy and hopes that healthy living entails. One smoothie at a time, Samrat Reddy, Founder and Managing Director of Drunken Monkey, would like to change the perception of healthy eating; “I wanted to do to smoothies what Starbucks did to coffee. The new generation, the millennials want to be catered to and are more willing than ever to experiment with new brands. People want a space to create meaningful social connections without restricting themselves to the regular coffee and chai outlets.”
Drunken Monkey, Founded by Samrat Reddy in 2016, is the only Indian smoothie bar chain with a pan Indian presence. The brand abides by its tagline "Naturally High", by reconnecting with nature and life through smoothies to get the naturally high feeling. It aims to meet the growing need among Indians for healthier beverages at cafes and other social joints.
Drunken Monkey offers over 170 special blended fresh-fruit smoothie combinations. Ranging from all-natural fresh fruit shakes to decadently indulgent smoothies, from detox smoothies to meal smoothies, "The Monkey" blends it right for every individual palette. Apart from some indulgent smoothies, all fresh fruit smoothies and shakes are 100% natural, made from local produce and do not contain any artificial flavors, preservatives or even ice.
