Serial dating is a real thing – there are people out there who refuse to remain single because they just can’t handle it. Funnily, they are also the people who are scared of commitment, they are all about the honeymoon period of the relationship. And they just be alone. As many of us can vouch for, singlehood is no more the problematic thing it once used to be construed as. People have learned to love their own company and take time out for themselves after a break up. We stand by the fact that It is an essential thing to do. Here’s why.
It gives you the breathing space
You have just had a break up, it was hard and definitely an emotional roller coaster ride. Which is why taking some time off for yourself is important. You need to come back home to yourself, you need to take stock of everything you are feeling and also why.
Spending time by yourself
Being single reinforces you being able to enjoy your own company, and the fact that you can live life by yourself too if it comes to that. You learn that you don’t ‘need’ a relationship to be happy in life. You, your friends, and family are enough. And that feeling is as beautiful as the jitters of new love.
You need to figure out what next
When you are constantly dating you need to take a break from it only to figure out what you really want out of a relationship and where you are heading towards. Constant disappointments and heartbreaks only make you jaded by the day. Knowing what you want (and what you don’t want) is essential.
