Navratri has officially begun with Gujjus of Coimbatore dancing to tunes of curated scores, in a full swing, at Gujarati Samaj. The dance form Garba originated from Gujarat and it is a Sanskrit word that means womb. The traditional dance is performed as veneration for Goddess Sakthi.
