Apollo Hospitals submits Jaya treatment papers to probe panel​

Chennai : Apollo Hospitals today submitted documents related to the treatment of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa before the inquiry commission set up to probe her death.

The submissions, in two suitcases, were made after the commission headed by retired judge A Arumughaswamy ordered Apollo to submit all documents related to Jayalalithaa’s treatment.

Cardiologist Swaminathan who treated Jayalalithaa appeared before the commission today.

The commission also ordered deposed AIADMK leader VK Sasikala’s advocate Raja Senthurapandian to reappear on January 22. Apollo Hospitals director of medical services Dr N Sathyabhama, appeared before the commission recently. Dr Sudha Seshayyan, who led the medical team which embalmed Jayalalithaa’s body also testified before the commission which issued summons to Jayalalithaa’s personal security officer Perumalsamy. Her doctor and Sasikala’s relative Dr Sivakumar and her personal assistant.

In a related development, TTV Dhinakaran along with supporters Vettrivel, Thanga Tamilselvan, Senthil Balaji and Palaniappan met Sasikala at Parappana Agrahara prison in Bengaluru today.
