Tamil Nadu CM Edapaddi Palaniswami woos Jain investors

Chennai : Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edapaddi Palaniswami on Friday appealed to the powerful Jain community to invest in the state and said the government will give them every facility to set up their businesses. Inaugurating the JITO Connect 2018, the event of the Jain community, the Chief Minister said Tamil Nadu was a peaceful state and was known for its good governance and strong infrastructure.

Addressing the gathering at the inaugural of the three day event, the chief minister proudly recalled that the state provided uninterrupted power supply.

The three day event was organised by the Jain International Trade Organisation at Perambur in the city. “More number of Jain entrepreneurs should come forward to invest in Tamil Nadu. The state government is ready to provide all help to them,” Palaniswami said.

State governor Banwarilal Purohit said that entrepreneurs can also approach him to start businesses in the state. “I share a good rapport with the chief minister, those who are willing to invest here can contact me,” he said.

Narendra Srisrimal, chairman, JITO Chennai chapter said that more than 3,000 delegates from all over India, above 150 delegates from 25 countries across the world and over one lakh visitors are participating in the three-day conclave.

He said that there is special encouragement for start-ups and women entrepreneurs in the trade fair. Jeetendra Bhandari, chief secretary, Chennai chapter stated that a special pavillion has been set up for those looking to take franchisee and wishing to start new business.
