A half-nude protest for patta at Coimbatore Collectorate

In an attention seeking protest Saravanan of Ward 7 staged a dharna at the Coimbatore District Collectorate, bare chested, leaves wound around the waist and a garland of skulls. He also held a national flag. He submitted a petition to the Collector seeking patta. The police arrested the man stating that he had also attempted self immolation several times earlier seeking patta.
However, Saravanan’ s appeals are going only into deaf ears.
