A State level basketball tournament for CBSE school students was inaugurated today. The tournament is conducted and hosted by Suguna School at Nehru Nagar in Kalapatty, Coimbatore. The tournament will be until 14th of this month. Almost 128 teams involving 263 students from various schools across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry participated in the event. The inaugural ceremony was presided over by the District Superintendent of Police Sujith Kumar., IPS. The Chairperson of Suguna Educational Institutions Lakshmi Narayanasamy and the correspondent Suguna also attended the event. SP Sujith Kumar while speaking to the media said, “It is a pleasure that such tournaments are happening for the first time in Coimbatore”.
