Ashwini Ganga who was studying BCom in a private college in the city allegedly committed suicide after one Jafar of Kovaipudur had sent threatening messages to her and had also visited her when she was alone and asked her to convert to Islam if she wanted to marry him. The father has alleged that the police were not serious about the incident and were not registering a case
