Coimbatore District Collector P Rajamani has ordered for penalty to be imposed on vehicles parked under the no parking zone in front of the Collectorate. He ordered the traffic police personnel to lock all the vehicles and also levied penalty. He also added that the vehicles would be released only after the owners of the vehicles meet the Collector. On investigation, it was found that the vehicles belonged to the officials working in the Collectorate. Following this, they met the collector and tendered apology.
