PUCL demands CB CID probe on alleged custodial death in Mettupalayam

People’s Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL) and Human Rights Commission has sought CB CID enquiry into the alleged death of Sahul Hameed a youth in Mettupalayam who was handed over by the public to the police after he was caught while he indulged in way laying and robbery. PUCL alleged that the accused was attacked by the cops in custody and he slipped into coma before he died. The PUCL also wanted the Human Rights Commission to monitor the case.
