Woo, India’s leading dating app for urban singles, launches its brand films that are based on women insights. In today’s fast-paced times, women have become more educated, outgoing and confident, and so their needs have evolved as well. Woo understands that they look for a safe way to discover new people with ease, based on data collected from a survey of 1,000 women in tier 1 and 2 cities across India. Woo, came up with two key features – Woo Hide and Woo Phone, that empower the women and make sure their privacy is always taken care off and with these features the brand establishes the positing – A Dating App that Women Love. The films have been produced by J. A. Productions.

Woo Phone

Woo Phone, Woo’s new feature is a notable effort in furthering that trend. The feature enables women to call their matched profiles from within the app without revealing their phone numbers. The unique calling feature is exclusively available to women on Woo.

Woo takes a design thinking approach to the current problems users face on dating apps, such as users being forced to ‘like’ or ‘dislike’ every profile or the problem of conversations fizzling out. Its feature Woo Hide allows women to browse profiles in ‘incognito’ mode. They can see men, but only the men they’ve liked will be able to see them back.

Woo acknowledges the ‘gut feeling’ every woman has and fully supports that instinctive belief, ‘you know when it’s right.’ The two short videos neatly deliver the message that women always make smart, confident choices, by choosing the ‘right guy’ themselves, facilitated with Woo’s safety features, Woo Hide and Woo Calling,” says Sumesh Menon, CEO and Co-founder of the homegrown, women’s first dating app, Woo.
