In her first meeting with Congress MPs after son Rahul Gandhi took over as new party chief, former Congress president Sonia Gandhi told the gathering that “he is now my boss too, let there be no doubt about that”.

While establishing that Rahul is the party boss, Sonia also sent out a message that she would play a key role in rallying Opposition parties to take on the BJP in the upcoming parliamentary polls.

“I know that all of you will work with him with the same dedication, loyalty and enthusiasm as you did with me. Im confident that we will work cohesively under his leadership to revive our party’s fortunes. That process has begun. We performed creditably under tough circumstances in Gujarat and the recent by-election results in Rajasthan were huge. This shows that the winds of change are coming,” she told the gathering.
