An internal inquiry is likely to be ordered against a senior male police official, who was found misbehaving with a woman sub-inspector two days ago in the city, while controlling the students who were on an agitation condemning the death of Anitha.

The incident, where the official was found laying his hand on the chest of the woman inspector and repeatedly pushing her back in the pretext of controlling the students on September 4, has gone viral in the social media.
Even though the SI was forcibly removing the hands of the official, he was shown repeatedly putting hands on her, the video showed.

When contacted, a police official said that after going through the video clippings, top officials are likely to take suitable action on the erring official.

Meanwhile, All India Democratic Women Association (AIDWA) submitted a memorandum to the City Police commissioner, Dr. A. Amalraj, to take stringent action against the official, who was seen misbehaving with his colleague in full public view.
