Chennai: Within a few days EPS and OPS will be sent packing home, declared sacked AIADMK deputy general secretary and rebel AIADMK leader TTV Dinakaran on Friday asserting that the government does not have enough numbers. We will send it home sometime next week, he asserted.

Which is why it was trying to use the disqualification of MLAs route to convert its minority into a majority.

The High Court has stepped in and prevented the state government from carrying out a hurried trust vote, alleged Dinakaran in conversation with media persons outside his Adyar house in Chennai. According to reports, speaker P Dhanpal was in consultation with advocate general of the state over the issue of disqualification of the MLAs who had written a letter to governor withdrawing their support to the party chief minister.

Sources say that this can be construed as anti-party activity and if the MLAs could be disqualified. If it happens, then the magic number comes down to 110, in which case the EPS government would sail home with ease.

“A time has come to send them home. We have decided to do that during next week”, Dinakaran said adding that thousands of party cadres do not want Palanisami government. The chief minister has betrayed jailed Sasikala and stabbed her in the back after he was made the chief minister, Dinakaran said. “Palaniswami and his deputy O Panneerselvam have stooped to such a level to save their posts,” he said.

Dinakaran denied suggestions to the effect that he was in cahoots with the DMK to fell the government. He also denied rumours that his MLAs could join the DMK to form a government.

For the record, Dinakaran maintained his sacking spree, this time ousting deputy speaker Pollachi Jayaraman from the party post.
