TN Open University to set up zonal centre in Coimbatore

Tamil Nadu Open University will set up a zonal centre here for the benefit of Coimbatore, Tirupur and Erode districts, its Vice-Chancellor Dr. M. Bhaskaran said on Monday.
“The Government has already allotted necessary land for the centre and the works will begin soon after discussing the issue with the district collector and other officials,” Bhaskaran told reporters here.
The Centre will benefit the students of the three districts, he said.
A one year certificate course will be introduced for guides in tourism department, in association with the Forest Department, Bhaskaran said.
