Man kills self as cousin rejects marriage proposal

A 28-year-old man committed suicide in his house at Koundampalayam as his cousin refused to marry him.
According to sources, Annadurai, son of Moorthy of N.K. Nagar, had come home from Singapore on a break. He visited his uncle and expressed his desire to marry his daughter. However, she rejected the proposal.
A dejected Annadurai returned home and hanged himself in his house using a shawl.
Following a complaint from his mother, Thudiyalur police registered a case and are investigating.
