The authorities are usually slack about building violations until something untoward happens. Even as the activists allege corruption, violations in buildings have become the new day norm. We learnt nothing from the fire at a complex in Axis Bank that charred four women. Construction violations continue. The recent one being the demolition notice served on KDO Bhavan at Saibaba Colony.
