Sandalwood trees cut, smuggled out of central jail

Two sandalwood trees were cut and smuggled out of central jail here.
According to police, the jail staff noticed this morning that two sandalwood trees were cut and taken out, while two more trees were left on the premises.
On information, jail officials informed the police, who are investigating the matter.
Police suspect that the miscreants could have gained entry by scaling the wall on eastern side of the jail.
