Coimbatore-Madurai special train on Jan 27

Coimbatore: To clear the extra rush, Southern Railway is to run special trains between Coimbatore and Madurai on January 27.
Train 06081 Madurai–Coimbatore special fare train will leave Madurai at 8.45 am on January 27 and reach Coimbatore at 2.15 pm the same day.
Train 06082 will leave Coimbatore at 4.15 pm to reach Madurai at 9.45 pm on the same day.
Trains will have composition of seven sleeper class, eight general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches, according to a statement.
There will be stops at Sholavandan, Dindigul, Oddanchatram, Palani, Udumalaipettai and Pollachi.
Railways decided to provide stoppage at Thudiyalur (between Coimbatore and Karamadai) station for the passengers trains between Coimbatore and Mettupalayam from today.
However, owing to platform extension works at Mettupalayam for 31 days from February 1, Coimbatore-Mettupalayam-Coimbatore passenger trains will be terminated at and start from Karamadai.
