Rajini, Kamal might have found politics more attractive: Durai Murugan

COIMBATORE: DMK Principal Secretary Durai Murugan on Thursday took a dig at films stars Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan by saying that they might have found politics more attractive than cinema field.

Talking to reporters at the city airport, Durai Murugan said that they will realise the real respect they entering politics, as they have not “come to the streets” so far.

Asked about the reports of entry of party Working President M.K. Stalin’s son Udayanidhi Stalin to politics, he said that he did not know about it.

Blaming the Government that it was not bothered about the hardship being faced by the people and also the protests by students, public and politicians over the bus fare hike, Durai Murugan accused it only concentrating “to swindle what ever they can till they rule.”

When asked about the controversy over the junior seer of Kanchi Mutt sitting through when Tamizh Thai Vazhthu was being played, he said that he (the Seer) had the strength when national anthem was being played and not when the State song was played.
