‘Yugam 18’ concludes

COIMBATORE: Around 4,000 students from various universities in the country participated in ‘Yugam 18’, the national level techno, cultural and sports festival of Kumaraguru College of Technology.

The six-day festival, that concluded on Saturday, saw celebrities such as Put Chutney Raj Mohan, stand-up comedian Alexander Babu and Chinmayi Sriprada showcasing their talents.

The college’s chess academy – Dr. Mahalingam Chess Academy – organised an IM chess coaching camp to help the chess players improve their skills. Mithrakanth, Common Wealth Champion Mithrakanth trained the players.

Head of VFX of Baahubali Pete Draper, Magician and Ventriloquist R. Indushree, United Nations speaker Dr. Sruti Kapoor, Program Associate, Nazdeek Justice and Aerospace Research Team Arpana Choudry addressed the students during the Y-Talk session.

Circle of Opportunity, a social campaign that was launched recently, hosted a food truck Transtrength, run by transgenders.
