Alert neighbour foils bid to break open ATM in Coimbatore

Coimbatore :An alert house owner foiled a bid to break open an ATM at Sukrawarpettai, in the heart of the city, early today.
The house owner woke up on hearing a sound from the ATM and noticed a person hitting hard on the machine with an iron rod around 3.30 am, police said.
Nothing the lights switched on in the opposite house, a man coming out and raisingalarm, the thief fled the scene, they said.After registering a case, police were monitoring the CCTV footage to identify the robber.
