COIMBATORE: The Village Administrative Officer (VAO) visited Parsn Sesh Nestle gated community at Nanjundapuram Road.
The visit follows a petition from a social activist who said that violations have been happening for more than a decade ‘right under the nose of the authorities’.
In his petition, the activist, who is also a civil engineer, said that sewage pipelines were crossing the waterways “for which no permission was obtained. A 12-feet canal has been reduced to mere 6-feet one due to development. A manhole has also been found underground which clearly states that sewage pipelines indeed are laid in a wrong manner”.
The VAO assured that she would report the matter to the tahsildar.
The petitioner alleged that the builder has purchased 3.5 acres land near the complex for constructing another property. “He has constructed a steel bridge connecting both the projects for which he has not obtained permission from the PWD. The builder failed to turn up when the VAO visited the site,” the petitioner added.
