Bosch India Foundation donates air conditioners to PHC

COIMBATORE: Bosch India Foundation on Tuesday donated two air conditioners to the Government Primary Health Centre at Kondaiyampalayam panchayat in Sarkarsamakulam block.

The Block Medical Officer of Sarkarsamakulam, Dr. Prabhavathy, said lack of air conditioning facilities posed great challenges as they could not proceed with many surgeries. The Primary Health Centre was upgraded to a 30-bedded hospital in October last.

Suganya Subburaj, Chief of Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions, Coimbatore, Dr. Prabhavathy and Vishnukannan M, Community Development Manager for Bosch India Foundation, Coimbatore were present.

Bosch India Foundation, a public charitable trust formed in 2008, has been carrying out community development activities in the rural areas. It has adopted villages in the Kondaiyampalayam Panchayat of Sarkarsamakulam block in Coimbatore district for various development works in various areas including health, education, environment, water, hygienic and infrastructure development.
