Hyderabad: The Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) on Monday said it won’t contest next month’s Assembly elections in Karnataka and instead support the Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S).

“We want a non-Congress and non-BJP government in Karnataka for qualitative development,” MIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi told the media.

The Hyderabad MP said if necessary he would address public meetings in support of the JD(S) headed by former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda.
