With the onset of monsoon, there has been heavy rains in the Western Ghats which has caused flooding in the Kovai Kutralam falls. Trees on the way have been uprooted. So,bathing in the falls and visiting the area has been banned by the district administration. Moreover, the strong winds in the city has made it hard for vehicle riders too.
