The tragic accident at Manthada which has claimed 9 lives till now has also left many seriously injured. With the lack of proper facilities at the Ooty GH, many of the injured had to be taken to the Coimbatore GH. In light of this , the Ooty people have requested for a well equipped medical college and hospital to be set up in Ooty to deal with such calamities.
