Four persons, including two students of an engineering college, were arrested for allegedly possessing ganja in their rooms in Saravanampatti.

The police received information that some students were selling ganja to students of  various colleges in the area. Based on the tip-off, police raided the area, particularly a private accommodation in Chinnamettupalayam.

Police recovered a few ganja packets from the room of third year engineering students, Prashant and Manikandan, from Pollachi. Two others – Selvakumar and Pandeeshwaran from Theni – who also were living in the accommodation, were arrested.

Search is now on for a Rajapandiyan, who supplies ganja to the students.
