Nilgiris enters its 150th year as a district

Nilgiris which was made into a separate district on August 18, 1868 to accommodate Secretariat for 6 months every year during the British rule enters its 150th year as a separate district today. The occasion was commemorated with celebratory cake cutting through the Nilgiris Documentation Centre at the Ooty Museum.
