Kuranchery witnessed a massive landslide where 19 including women and children were buried alive

The massive landslide at Kurancherry in Thrissur district claimed 19 lives. This was the first time that an incident has happened in the last 80 years, surviving residents say. The Covai Post is standing at the very spot and we bring to you the plight of those who lost there close family, the house and the belongings. Though the authorities say that the place is vulnerable, they however claim that there is no construction on the hill that could have triggered the massive landslide that has crumbled 4 houses and buried alive 19 including women and children.
