The production house Thenandal studio had seen some terrific success with the movie “Mersal”, directed by Atlee and super starrer Vijay receiving a thunderous response at box office.

However, Thenandal Studios has grabbed people’s attention for all the wrong reasons.

After aspiring filmmaker Balaji Athmanathan’s allegation of non-payment by the production house, it is now the man behind the spell-binding scenes magician Raman Sharma who resorted to Twitter accusing the production house of non-payment.

“It’s been 15 months and I still have not got paid. It has been a very stressful process for me to try to get my money back. When I first met them they were very sweet. I never hesitated once, out of the five different times I came to India, forgetting about my family in Canada just so that I could help make this movie Mersal.”

He gave five months of his life for the movie, teaching tricks and giving constant feedback. He also said the head Murali had been ignoring his phone calls.
He goes on to share the whats app conversation that he last had with Murali in August, where he says he would clear the dues next month. “Since then I have been to India, I have called, they hang up the phone, they don’t answer my calls at all,” he adds.

Raman points out that the most ironic part was that the movie talks about ethics and corruption and he is yet to receive his dues of Rs 4 lakh.
