C.R.I. Group ties up with City Corporation to develop three schools

Coimbatore : Pumps and Motors major, CRI Groups Thursday tied up with the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation for development of three Corporation Schools as part of its CSR activity.

A MoU in this regard was signed between CRI Pumps Siddapudur Corporation Higher Secondary School Alumni Association and the City Municipal Corporationm which was presented by Corporation Commissioner Dr.K.Vijayakarthikeyan to mCRI Group Vice Chairman G. Soundararajan, an official release said here.

“It is about high time that Corporates start looking at CSR initiatives as not just funding projects but as a continuous handholding approach with long term commitment in addressing critical social issues,”Soundarajan said.

Chief Education Officer G. V. Ravi, President and Lakshminarayan, Vice President of Siddhapudur Corporation Hr. Sec. School Alumni Association were present at the exchange of MoU, as till date, CRI is the only corporate to tie up with City Corporation for development of City Municipal Corporation Schools, it said.

The requirements of individual schools–Corporation Higher Secondary School, Girls High School and Elementary School at Sidhapudur– will be met from time to time, based on the proposals, it said.
