Coimbatore : Categorically ruling out alliance with AIADMK and DMK, Makkal Neeth Maiyam (MNM) founder President, Kamal Hassan today hinted that his party may go it alone in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, as the party wanted its hands to remain clean.

When MNM wanted to serve the people, he did not want the hands remain dirty after shaking hands with others, Kamal Hassan told reporters to a specific question on forming alliance with these parties, at the city airport.

When asked about joining hands with T T V Dhinakaran-led AMMK Kamal quipped “we want our hands remain clean and will tread with caution to ally with others”.

The alliance, if any, will be cobbled only after deep thought, he said.

When further questioned on going it alone, Kamal Hassan returning to Chennai after participating in a two-day meeting of party in-charges in Pollachi, gave a broad hint of contesting alone, which will be decided by the people.
