International opportunity to study, work and settle in Germany

Coimbatore : With Germany looking for bright young minds to be part of their system to meet the demanding man power requirements of their various sectors, two senior University officials from there on Saturday said there was good international opportunity to study, work and settle in Germany for the students, who have completed 12th Standard.

Germany is the land of innovation, particularly in automobile sector, like Formula race cars, and opportunities now encourage students to come into their country to study and if they wish they can work and settle there.

Directors of University of Applied Sciences Mittweida Peter Marring and University of applied Sciences, Zwickay Bjom Kindell told reporters here.

In Germany students have 13 yrs of schooling but in India the students study only for 12 years and once they go to Germany, they can study language up to a desired level and students will attend one year oundation course and then they progress on to study their bachelors in whatever stream they choose to study, they said.

Since opening up of the borders for the last four years for bachelors study, 100s of students every year have gone to Germany to study from south of India alone, K C Raj, CEO of KCR Consultants,, who introduced the opportunity for
12th standard completed students to study work and settle in Germany, said.

“We need to have to take care of our living expenses and the cost for studying the language and foundation alone. For the main course there will be no tuition fees at all in almost every university,” he said.

International students can start working immediately after completing a degree course, with a salary of 35,000-45,000 euros per annum and in case of more time required to find a proper job 18 months job search visa is given,
the university officials said.

Stating that as per immigration laws in Germany, those who completes two years of post study work are considered eligible to apply for Permanent Registration, the said that international students are also entitled to work part time 120 full days of 240 half days per year while on a degree programme.

When asked about threat of racism attack against Indians, both ruled out any such fear and Germany was very safe in this regard.
