Election Commission reviews Coimbatore voters’ list update

Officials of the Election Commission in New Delhi reviewed the progress that has been made in updating the voters list of Coimbatore district.
Senior officials of the department, Secretary J.K. Rao and Divisional Officer Praful Avasthi discussed about the special camps that were being conducted in the district to update the electoral roll, and the general preparedness of the state to handle the upcoming state elections.
The officials also cleared the doubts and queries of the district representatives of the national and local political parties. They also inspected the EVMs that were going to be used.
