Brookfield Mall adds 345kWp to solar power plant

Coimbatore : Brookfield Mall in the city has installed an additional 345kWp solar power plant to its 250kWp rooftop solar one.
This installation was In view of using green power and saving on power cost. The plants are installed on both the RCC and metal roofs.
The mall now has cumulative 595kWp capacity of rooftop solar power plant which will help it to generate around 8.5 lakh units of electricity annually and reduce carbon emissions by 700 tonnes annually.
About 10 per cent of the mall’s daytime power requirement was met by the solar plant, mall director Ashwin Balasubraaniam said today.
