Central govt orders extension of CBI Director Praveen Sood’s tenure for another year
Ooty : Five workers were injured in an explosion at the Cordite Factory in nearby Aruvangadu in the early hours of Saturday.
While three of the injured were taken and admitted to the Government Hospital Coimbatore the other two were admitted in the factory hospital, police said.
The explosion that occurred in GT section of the factory is believed to be due to an old machinery. The actual cause of the blast is, however, being ascertained.
Traffic on the main road was disrupted for some time following the incident. Further investigations are on, they said.
