Collector urges eligible persons to get vaccinated

Udhagamandalam: The Nilgiris Collector Ms.J.Innocent Divya has urged all the eligible persons in the district to make use of the opportunity now being provided to get vaccinated against Covid 19.

She pointed out here today that all above 60 and those above 45 with co-morbidities are being given the jab.

While it is free of cost at the Government hospitals and Primary Health Centres,the payment was Rs.250 ( Rs.150 for the vaccine and Rs.100 for the vaccine) at private medical facilities.The hospitals approved in Ooty ar the S.M.Hospital,the Vijaya hospital,Sivasakthi hospital and Parvathy Nursing Home.In Coonoor the facilities identified are the Nankem hospital,Sagayamatha hospital,Pushpa hospital and Siddhagiri Sai hospital.At Kotagiri the KMF hospital and the HF hospital have been approved.The approved facilities in Gudalur are the Ashwini (Accord) hospital and the Pushpagiri hospital.

In all the hospitals vaccinations are being given between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Those coming for vaccinations should produce atleast one identity card.The recognised proof of identity are Aadhar,bank pass
book,driving license,Pan card,vider ID card,Pass post and Pensioners ID card with photo.
