2 Days Sarang 2026 Exhibition begins today

Coimbatore, 9th January 2026 : Sārang 2026 is a summer edit personally curated by the members of the Crafts Council of Tamilnadu.
Starting on the 9th of January until the 10th of January 2026; this is sure to be a treat to the shoppers of Coimbatore; as majority of the labels are coming to the city for the first time. This is happening at 77 degree east on Central Studio road, just off Trichy road, Coimbatore.
Crafts Council of Tamil Nadu is an NGO in its 38th year of existence, working for the upliftment of Crafts & Artisans in Tamil Nadu. It is affiliated to the Crafts Council of India, Chennai, which in turn is affiliated to the World Crafts Council.
‘Srishti‘– CCTN ‘s festive edit that happens in September is one of the first of the kind of format of sales to begin in the city 28 years ago.
Sārang now in its 4th edition as a curation focussing on easy breezy summer wear and also light festive wear keeping in mind that Pongal is round the corner. Designers working on Sustainability & handlooms / weaves of India are the primary focus.
Textiles, Saris, Apparel for Men, Women & children, precious Jewellery, silks, Home décor can be found at ‘Sārang’
With 32 stalls this year, one can expect an additional treat with a great choice of food & beverages from the umbrella of a popular restaurant in the city;
Little Soi, Rasanai & Petite Dou.
Sarang & Srishti are CCTN ‘s fund raisers that use the proceeds to fund CCTN’s activities all through the year. The proceeds in particular help subsidise the costs for the participants in the annual Crafts Bazaar at Coimbatore.
Crafts Bazaar provides a platform to the Artisans (both textiles and handicrafts) from all over India to exhibit and sell their wares. The Craft Bazaar translates into action CCTN’s main objective of existence, which is to showcase craft and give a platform to Artisans for exhibiting their craftsmanship to a large customer/consumer base.
Now we know, that when one shops at ‘Sarang’, it is for a good cause.
