Brain dead 22 year old Young Farmer gives life to 6 persons

The deceased Mr.Monickraj Age 22, survived by his Father Mr.Ramakrishnan, Mother Mrs.Vijayakumari and Sister Miss.Monisha living at Niligiri District. On the fateful day 11.03.2026 Morning around 8.45am, While irrigating his fields, he met with an unexpected accident involving the electric motor and sustained severe injuries. Immediately he was taken to nearby Private hospital for first aid treatment, then after to KMCH Avanashi Road Coimbatore, for specialized treatment. During the treatment he didn’t responded much and declared brain dead on 13.03.2026 The family stood clueless and his Father Mr.Ramakrishnan, Mother Mrs.Vijayakumari and Sister Miss.Monisha came forward generously to donate Mr.Monickraj’s organs.
Multi Organ Transplant Surgeons and team harvested Lungs, Liver, Kidney and Eyes from the body of the deceased in accordance with the regulations prescribed by the Transplant Authority, Govt. of Tamil Nadu. The harvested organs i.e. Liver & One Kidney were transplanted at KMCH, One Kidney and Eyes was sent to Private Hospital at Coimbatore. Lungs were sent to Private Hospital at Chennai. The family members felt proud that his organs gave new lease of lives to 6 needy people.
In honouring their gesture, Dr. Nalla G Palaniswami, Chairman, KMCH thanked the family for their bold and timely decision on organ donation. He added that this act of generosity will bring in more awareness towards this Nobel cause.
