Coimbatore, May 25, 2026: Coimbatore District Basketball Association has been successfully conducting the All India Basketball Tournament for Men for the past 58 years and for Women for the past 22 years. The country’s leading basketball teams take pride in joining this prestigious tournament.

The Coimbatore Corporation, in partnership with the Coimbatore District Basketball Association, will inaugurate a new international standard semi-indoor sports stadium recently. This year, these tournaments are scheduled from 2026 May 27th to 31.

Mr. M. Deebala stated: At the Coimbatore District Basketball Court, the Coimbatore Corporation, in association with the Coimbatore District Basketball Association, has established an international-standard semi-indoor sports stadium under the ‘Namakku Naame’ scheme.

Eight leading teams of the country have been selected for the Men’s tournament and they include Indian Air Force – New Delhi, Indian Army – New Delhi, Indian Navy – Lonavala, KSEB – Trivandrum, Bank Of Baroda – Bengaluru, Indian Overseas Bank – Chennai, Kerala Police – Trivandrum, CDBA, Coimbatore

For the Women’s tournament, the eight teams selected are South Central Railway – Secunderabad, South Western Railway – Hubli, Southern Railway – Chennai, ICF – Chennai, KSEB – Trivandrum, Central Railway – Mumbai, Kerala Police – Trivandrum, CDBA – Coimbatore

The winning teams in Men &Women section will be awarded cash prize as follows

The All India Tournament for Men and Women will begin on the evening of 27th May 2026. The teams will play on league basis till 29th May 2026. The Semi-Finals & Finals will be on 30th May 2026 and 31st May 2026 respectively. All the matches will be conducted at V.O.C. Park Basket Ball Indore Court at 4.00 pm to 9.00 pm every day. Entry is Free.

The inaugural function is scheduled on 27th May 2026 at 5.30 pm. The Chief Guest of the inaugural function is Mr. G. Selvaraj, Vice President, TNBA, President, CDBA & Managing Director, C.R.I. Group will preside over the inaugural function. The valedictory function is scheduled on 31st May 2026 at 8.00 pm.

The finals will be held on 31st May at 6.00 pm. Prizes will be distributed to the winning teams during the valedictory function scheduled on the same day at 8.00 pm in the presence of the Chief Guest, Mr. Manickam, Chairman of Sakthi Group, and other dignitaries.

They further stated that Coimbatore District Basketball Association Joint Secretaries Mr. Ramakrishnan,
Mr. A. Shajudeen, Ms. K. Vidya Priya, Mr. M. Saraboji, Dr. M. Jayachitra were also present during the press meet.
