A mega free multi – speciality medical camp jointly organised by Sri Aiswarya Hospital and the Coimbatore branch of the Indian Medical Association ( IMA ) was held at the Sri Aiswarya Hospital campus on North Street,Chinnathadagam, in Coimbatore.

The camp was inaugurated by Coimbatore District Minister – in – Charge and Tamil Nadu Backward Classes Welfare Minister V. Sampath Kumar , who participated as the chief guest.Among those present were Dr.S. Karthik Prabhu , Honorary Secretary of Sumathi,the Indian Medical Association ( Tamil Nadu ) for 2024-25,Chinnathadagam Inspector A. Police representatives of Rotary and local bodies,Coimbatore IMA President Dr. Koshal Ram,Honorary Secretary Dr. T. Parameswaran,Honorary Treasurer Dr. Balamurugan and several others.

A wide range of free medical consultations and diagnostic services were provided for the benefit of the public.These included diabetes . screening,neurological evaluation , eye examination , dental check – up and screening .Participants also received counselling on foot care , exercise , nutrition and other health- cholesterol related issues from specialist doctors.

Medicines were distributed free of cost to patients attending the camp . Based on doctors ‘ recommendations , advanced investigations , including HbA1c ( three – month average blood sugar ) , lipid profile and serum uric acid ( SUA ) tests , were also conducted free of charge . Patients requiring further treatment following eye examinations were referred for free cataract surgery at Ponnammal Duraisamy Hospital , Coimbatore.

Free spectacles were also provided to eligible beneficiaries.Specialist consultations were offered by Dr. T. Parameswaran (General Medicine and Diabetology), Dr.S. Karthik Prabhu ( Dermatology), Dr. Balasubramaniam ( Ophthalmology), Dr.M.Duraikannan ( Paediatrics), Dr. V.Rajesh Babu ( Brain , Spine and Neurosurgery),Dr.Muthiah Subramaniam ( Cardiology), Dr.Sri Ramalingam ( Orthopaedics and Spine Surgery) and Dr.M.Senthil Kumar ( Dentistry ).

Sri Aiswarya Foundation and Bhanupriya Pharmaceuticals extended support for organising the camp. More than 250 members of the public participated and benefited from the free medical services .
