In a significant move aimed at strengthening sustainable construction in western Tamil Nadu, Renacon, the flagship building materials brand of the Renaatus Group, has launched its RENAFLEX Fibre Cement Boards (FCB) in Coimbatore.
The launch marks a strategic expansion into one of South India’s fastest-growing construction and infrastructure markets and reinforces the company’s ambition to emerge as a comprehensive building solutions provider.
The introduction of RENAFLEX is backed by a ₹350 crore investment in advanced manufacturing infrastructure, bringing globally benchmarked fibre cement technology to support the region’s rapidly expanding residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare and educational sectors.
Manufactured at Renacon’s integrated green building materials facility in Naidupeta, Andhra Pradesh, the boards are produced using advanced Laminar Flow Technology, ensuring superior strength, dimensional stability, precision and long-term durability. The technology also enables faster installation while promoting safer and more environmentally responsible construction practices.
Speaking on the occasion, P. Selva Sundaram, Chairman and Managing Director of the Renaatus Group, said the launch represents an important milestone in the company’s growth strategy.
“Coimbatore has emerged as one of South India’s most dynamic industrial and real estate destinations. With our flagship residential project, VARAM, already establishing our presence in the city, the launch of RENAFLEX further demonstrates our long-term commitment to this market.
We are delighted to offer architects, builders and developers globally benchmarked fibre cement boards that combine strength, durability, aesthetics and construction efficiency,” he said.
Renacon has established one of Asia’s largest integrated manufacturing facilities for AAC Blocks and Fibre Cement Boards, with an annual production capacity of 60,000 metric tonnes of fibre cement boards.
Its portfolio includes Type A (High Density) and Type B Fibre Cement Boards, along with RENAFLEX Elegante Designer Boards developed for premium façade, architectural and interior applications.
Designed to meet the demands of modern construction, RENAFLEX boards offer high resistance to fire, moisture and termites, while providing smooth finishes, dimensional stability and an extended service life.
The products are suitable for partitions, false ceilings, façades, wet areas, prefabricated structures and modular interiors, enabling quicker project execution, reduced maintenance costs and improved construction efficiency.
The boards also support sustainable building practices and comply with green building standards such as IGBC and GRIHA, aligning with the construction industry’s growing focus on environmentally responsible development.
With infrastructure and real estate investments continuing to accelerate across Coimbatore and the wider western Tamil Nadu region, Renacon expects strong market demand from residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and hospitality projects. The company plans to further strengthen its presence across Tamil Nadu and South India before expanding into international markets, including Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
