Coimbatore, August 15 – SUEZ observed Independence Day at its New MSR Campus in Ramakrishna Puram, Coimbatore. Around 100 workers and SUEZ staff took part in the celebration. For the teams working on the 24×7 Water Supply Project, the occasion also offered a chance to come together and recognise the importance of service in their everyday work. For those involved in delivering and maintaining an essential public service, Independence Day also offered an opportunity to reflect on the role their everyday work plays in the city. The project involves people working in different roles, from field teams and operations staff to those handling maintenance and other project responsibilities. Their day-to-day work helps keep the water supply network running across Coimbatore.

Speaking on the occasion, Sangram Pattanayak, Project Director, SUEZ – 24×7 Water Supply Project, Coimbatore, said, “Independence Day reminds us that the spirit of service is also about taking responsibility for the work we do every day. In our project, every person has a role in ensuring that water services continue to reach people reliably. Whether someone is working in the field, managing operations or supporting the project from behind the scenes, their contribution matters. Coming together today with our workers and staff is a reminder that meaningful public service is built through the efforts of many people working together.” The celebration brought workers and SUEZ staff together beyond their regular work responsibilities. It also highlighted the close coordination required across different teams to operate and maintain a city-wide water supply system. For the SUEZ team in Coimbatore, the occasion was an opportunity to celebrate Independence Day while recognising the people whose daily efforts support the project’s work and its wider service to the community.
